Abraham Mordkhine’s father was a textile manufacturer. He gave his son a religious education. The latter arrived in Paris in 1917. During World War II, he was ill and stayed at a sanatorium in Robinson, near Paris. On February 11, 1943, he was arrested by the Gestapo and was interned in Drancy. On March 2, 1943, he was deported on convoy number 49.
